From time to time we invite some friends (e.g. TRSI, Softgold, Factor 5, Günni) to play some paintball (a.k.a. gotcha). Paintball is one of the fastest teamsports in the world. Every player gets his own paintgun, a mask and plenty of small balls filled with paint (=> Paintball). Then they form two teams and give themselves a goal to reach, like:"Capture the flag of the other team while keeping your own flag save." Now the players sneak through the woods, crawl , run, jump, hide and sometimes shoot at each other with their paintguns. If one (or more) player is hit by a paintball, he is "marked" (and dirty :-) and has to leave the game. It already happened, that a game was over after 30 seconds because one complete team got marked. It is really a fast and furious game.

A lot of people do not like paintball, because they call it a "wargame". This is not quite right. You can not play war. War is the most despicable deed, mankind has created. It is based on hate, violence and fear. Opposed to this paintball is based on friendship, fun and sport. We are no Nazis, we are just some strange guys who still like "cops and robbers". No one really get's hurt, because usually you don't even come close enough to touch the other players. When you are hit by a ball, it is not dangerous, except when you are hit in the face. For this reason every player wears a mask to protect his eyes, nose etc.
